Second Life Products is a resale‑first marketplace specializing in pre‑owned, open‑box, vintage, collectible, and limited‑availability items. Because most items are one‑of‑a‑kind, our return policy is built around condition accuracy, transparency, and fairness — for both buyers and sellers.

Returns at a Glance
Return Windows by Condition
- New / Like New: 14 days (unused, original condition)
- Open Box / Lightly Used: 14 days (unused after delivery)
- Vintage / Collectible / Limited Edition: 7‑day inspection window
- As‑Is / For Parts: Final sale (no returns)
- Media (unopened): 14 days
- Media (opened/used): Final sale
Key Rules
- Condition accuracy claims: 48 hours from delivery (photos required)
- Return authorization required before shipping
- Restocking fees may apply for altered or used returns (up to 20%)
- Refunds issued to original payment method
Condition‑Based Return Rules
1. New / Like New Items
- Return window: 14 days from delivery
- Requirements: Unused, original condition, all packaging and accessories included
- Restocking fee: None if returned in original condition
2. Open Box / Lightly Used Items
- Return window: 14 days from delivery
- Requirements: No additional wear, use, or damage after delivery
- Restocking fee: Up to 10% if item shows added wear or handling
3. As‑Is / For Parts / Final Sale Items
- Return window: No returns accepted
- Items sold as “As‑Is,” “For Parts,” “Not Working,” or marked Final Sale are non‑returnable
- Condition accuracy claims still apply if the item is significantly misrepresented (see below)
4. Vintage, Collectible, Limited Edition & Autographed Items
- Inspection window: 7 days from delivery
- Items may be handled for inspection only — no use or alteration
- Restocking fee: Up to 20% (re‑inspection or re‑authentication costs)
- Authentication concerns must be reported within 48 hours
5. Media Items (VHS, DVDs, CDs, Vinyl, Games, Software)
- Unopened / sealed media: Returnable within 14 days
- Opened or used media: Final sale — no returns
- This policy prevents “watch/use then return” abuse and protects collectors
Condition Accuracy Guarantee
We stand behind our listings.
If your item is:
- Significantly not as described
- Incorrect (wrong item sent)
- Damaged in transit
- Has an authentication issue (where applicable)
You must contact us within 48 hours of delivery.
Required:
- Order number
- Clear photos of the issue
- Packaging photos for transit damage claims
Approved claims may result in:
- Full refund (including original shipping)
- Store credit (if preferred)
- Replacement (rare, if identical item is available)
Does not qualify:
- Minor wear consistent with description
- Buyer’s remorse
- Fit or sizing issues
- Normal age‑related wear on vintage items
Claims submitted after 48 hours or without photo evidence may be denied.
What “Unused” Means
To qualify for a return:
- Footwear: Not worn outside, clean soles, no scuffs
- Clothing: Not worn, no stains, odors, pet hair, or alterations
- Electronics: Not powered on or used
- Media: Not opened or played
- All items: No scents, damage, or missing packaging
Items returned in altered or used condition may receive a partial refund or be denied.
Return Authorization Process (Required)
- Contact us first at info@secondlifeproducts.comInclude your order number, item name, reason for return, and photos if applicable.
- Wait for approvalApproved returns receive an RMA number and return instructions.
- Ship the item
- RMA number must be clearly marked on the package
- Use a trackable shipping method
- Ship only to the address provided in the RMA email
Returns sent without authorization may be refused.
Refunds & Processing
- Returns are inspected within 2–3 business days of receipt
- Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method
- Processing time: 3–10 business days (varies by provider)
Partial Refunds May Apply If:
- Item shows use or added wear
- Packaging or accessories are missing
- Item value is reduced due to handling
Shipping Costs
- Our error (wrong item, damage, misrepresentation):
- Return shipping covered
- Original shipping refunded
- Standard returns:
- Buyer pays return shipping
- Original shipping is non‑refundable
We recommend insuring high‑value returns.
Exchanges
We do not offer traditional exchanges due to the one‑of‑a‑kind nature of resale inventory.
To get a different item:
- Return the original item (if eligible)
- Place a new order separately
